My mother has been receiving exceptional care from Emily, her in-home Occupational Therapist, and I couldn’t be more grateful. From the very beginning, Emily has been compassionate, attentive, and highly skilled in addressing my mother’s unique needs. Each session is thoughtfully tailored to help her maintain her independence and improve her daily living activities, making a noticeable difference in her mobility and confidence. Emily’s patience and expertise have provided my mother with the support she needs to make real progress in her recovery. The convenience of receiving therapy at home has made all the difference for our family. We truly have peace of mind, knowing that my mother is receiving such high-quality care in the comfort of her own home. Thank you, Emily, for your dedication and care.
Madeleine, Next of Kin
I recently had a great experience with a physiotherapist from Mobile Rehab. They came to my home to help me manage my lymphedema, and I can’t thank them enough. The physiotherapist was friendly and really knew their stuff, making a huge difference in how I feel. They tailored the treatment to fit my needs, which I really appreciated. Thanks to Mobile Rehab, I feel like I have more control over my health now. I’m so grateful for their help!

Frequently asked questions
At Mobile Rehab we believe in our vision to make allied health services more accessible for everyone.
Here you'll find answers to the most commonly asked questions about our services.
What is Virtual Health?
Virtual Health is the term Mobile Rehab uses to describe video or phone assessments and treatments. It allows patients to consult with clinicians and manage their care conveniently from anywhere, eliminating the need for in-person visits. It is also know as Telehealth, Digital Health or Tele-rehabilitation.
What are the benefits of Virtual Health?
Virtual health isn’t just a convenient backup—it is a highly effective, modern way to access premium care. Key benefits include:
Super Convenient: Save time and energy. There is no traffic, no parking hassle, and no sitting in waiting rooms. You receive care where you are most comfortable.
Seen Sooner: Telehealth appointments often have shorter wait times, meaning you can jumpstart your recovery, begin your therapy, or get your assessment completed much faster.
Cost-Effective: Because there are no travel fees or clinic overheads involved, virtual sessions are a highly efficient use of your NDIS, Aged Care funding, or private budget.
Proven Safe & Effective: Research shows that virtual allied health consultations deliver clinical outcomes just as safe and effective as traditional face-to-face visits.
Do I need to be tech-savvy to use it?
Not at all. If you can open a text message or an email, you can use our virtual health service. And if these skills are new to you, we can help you with them as well.
We use a highly secure, user-friendly platform. Before your appointment, we will send you a simple link via email or SMS with instructions to help you get started.
What services can actually be done via Virtual Health?
You might be surprised by how much our allied health team can achieve through a screen. We successfully deliver a wide range of services virtually, including:
Initial Consultations & Progress Reviews across Physiotherapy, Dietetics, and Occupational Therapy.
Functional Capacity Assessments (FCAs) to streamline NDIS plan reviews.
Equipment & Assistive Technology Prescriptions by observing your home environment and movement patterns safely on video.
Real-Time Guided Rehab & Exercise Sessions where your clinician monitors your form, provides instant feedback, and progresses your program.
Dietetics & Nutrition Coaching to support your health and lifestyle goals.
Can equipment prescription and assistive technology (AT) be managed using Virtual Health?
Yes! We have had great success using virtual health in equipment assessment, prescription and implementation.
There is a farmer in a small regional town who now uses a scooter to nagivate his farm - all achieved via virtual health. We can tell you more.
What do I need to prepare for my session?
To get the most out of your appointment, we recommend finding a quiet, well-lit space with a reliable internet connection. Make sure your smartphone, tablet, or laptop is fully charged or plugged in, and position it on a stable surface so your clinician can clearly see you if you need to perform movements or exercises.
Virtual Health and social justice
Healthcare is a fundamental right, yet Australia’s vast geography and structural inequalities have long dictated who receives timely, high-quality care. Virtual Health is a powerful instrument of social justice—delivering care quickly and effectively across metropolitan, regional, and remote communities. By embedding Virtual Health in all regions, we can level the playing field and create a fairer, more equitable healthcare system.
